Breslin Architects received an “Excellence in Architecture” award from the American Institute of Architects for the design of this project.
The school is organized around a central corridor system with the classroom wings on one side and assembly and public use facilities on the other side. A clock tower is the focal point of the design which clearly identifies the main entrance to the building.
The Middle School’s site layout maximizes safety by separating cars, buses, and access to the play fields. The parking and parental drop-off zone are in the front of the school and the bus loading is on the opposite side adjacent to the classrooms.
