Breslin Architects received the highest honor from American School and University’s annual awards program, the prestigious “Caudill Award for Outstanding Educational Environment”.
The publisher commented that the building had “very good scale with a nice sense of form. Good use of materials. Excellent, well organized plan with playful interiors.” A member of the awards jury summed up by saying that “this is a truly outstanding design. A school that I would like to go to – too bad I’m too old.”
The building is organized along a central, high-ceilinged corridor. The classrooms, which are clustered around group instructional spaces, are on one side of the corridor, while shared-use spaces such as the library, multi-purpose room, cafeteria, and administration are on the other side.
