Breslin Architects received a "Design Award" for this project from the American Institute of Architects/ Eastern Pennsylvania.
This Middle School for grades 6, 7 & 8 is located on a scenic, 20 acre rural site. The exterior facades are constructed of two tones of gray, split-face concrete masonry accentuated by by large scale windows. At the Main Entrance, the geometric shapes and oversized column add a playful quality to the design.
A central sky-lit corridor, starting at the Main Entrance and ending in the Cafeteria, organizes the layout of the school. On one side of the corridor is the Classroom Wing which wraps around the Library at its core. On the other side are the common use facilities including a Gymnasium, a 400 seat Auditorium, Technical Education, Art and Music Rooms, and Administration.
