Breslin Architects received a “National Award” for this project from the annual Athletic Business Magazine’s Award Program. The firm was also honored with an “Excellence in Architecture” award from the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
This facility features a 2,000 seat gymnasium with an elevated running track and a natatorium with a 25-meter competition pool and spectator seating for 250.
A large scale plaza provides access to the main entrance. At the terminus of the plaza is a polished granite wall displaying the name of the school in large sandblasted graphics. The focal point of the plaza is a “Little Lion” monument set within brick paving.
